hi, I’m Ioana!

I’ve been a writer my entire life, even though it took me around 26 years to finally admit it. More specifically, I’m a poet.

When I moved to Barcelona in 2021, I had the urge to find an artistic community. So I participated in a slam poetry competition, and I was hooked.

I found a bunch of very inspiring people, and I started sharing my poems more and more, till writing became essential to who I am as a person.

In the meantime, I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life, and we started a musical/poetic duo called April15.

In the past few years, I also organized poetry gatherings and events to bring people together to celebrate art and authentic connections. On top of that, I love facilitating creative and learning workshops, as I enjoy the act of “ holding space” so much.

other things about me

I went on a sabbatical with my partner from August 2024 to September 2025 — we explored Australia (3 months) and Latin America (9 months). Fell in love with hiking, Mexicans, and Iquitos. Now I’m back in Barcelona — on the outskirts, in the forest.

I’m a certified yoga teacher, but it’s been at least 4 years since I taught classes.

I’m a mindfulness nerd: I love everything from breathwork to meditation, from journaling to EFT, from cacao ceremonies to Ecstatic Dance. You name it, I’ve tried it.

My favorite poets are T.S. Eliot, Ada Limón, Mary Oliver, and Ocean Vuong.

I started — and never finished — many things: from a coaching certification, to a podcast, from an event series, to countless fiction books.

I’m very drawn to Jung’s way of seeing the world.

How can we work together

  • Explore your creativity through embodiment practices in personalized one-on-one sessions or with groups (online or in Barcelona) of up to 5-6 participants.

  • For schools and not only. Groups of students between the ages of 7 and 17. Around 1-2h of exploring and writing poetry.

  • Let’s co-organize and/or co-host thoughtful events, whether it's poetry open mics or fundraising nights.

  • I've been exploring the mindfulness world for the past 10 years and have been organizing workshops (at work and on my own) for 5 years: conscious movement, yoga, and breathwork.
